Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Great location with rooms overlooking the lake, if you love nature and want peace & quiet, this is the place for you. The staff, Costa & Gnana are fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and Costa organised our safari to Wasgamua national park & a tuk tuk tour. Gnana is a very good cook and the food was very tasty.

Negative: The description of the facilities is misleading. There was no tea/coffee maker, fan or electric kettle in our rooms & the wi-fi only works in the main building and sometimes not at all. The air conditioning in one room was broken - we were offered another room with working air con but did not want it as we had specifically asked for the two rooms which are right in front of the lake. One of rooms was very damp. We feel Aligama could with some refurbishment and a little TLC to make it more comfortable.

Summary: We loved it here because of the location, wildlife & staff.
