Leatherman, known as "Dr. Beach," evaluates U.S. beaches annually based on 50 criteria including water and sand quality, safety, natural beauty, and management. Building 1 consists of 3 units and is the only ground level building with no second floor, so no one above you. This fabulous property features vaulted ceilings and is at parking lot level with its front door on a parking circle providing easy access for your luggage and groceries. Enjoy unobstructed beach and ocean views with legendary sunrises/sunsets from your private lanai. Condo is well equipped with cooking items, new fridge, new dishwasher, HDTV, full size new W/D in unit, and nearby updated BBQs. In addition to our 1BR king the LR couch folds out into a full bed. The Poipu Beach Athletic Club is just across Poipu Road from Kiahuna Plantation. Our membership grants our guests access to the pool with sand beach, restaurant with live entertainment, workout room, jacuzzi, cold plunges, tennis and pickleball courts. Towels provided. Yoga and other classes offered for a fee. Parking is free both at Kiahuna and PBAC.
Beach Hut on the Kiahuna lawn provides guests with free checkout of chairs and beach towels. Umbrellas are best purchased at Costco Lihue close to the Lihue Airport. Snorkel gear is available for rent daily and weekly.
In addition, enjoy nearby water activities such as sailing, kayaking, surfing, and scuba diving. Amazing snorkeling, you will see tons of colorful fish and turtles too. A short walk away is a beach/cove area where many turtles come to rest. A turtle or monk seal may also come to rest right in front of Beachhouse#2!
Kiahuna public golf course and Poipu Shopping Village are across the street with restaurants, stores, and Whalers General Store for essentials and gifts. Castle front desk is open from 7AM - 9PM and is very close to Beachhouse#2. Check in/check out and any questions while you are staying at the property are handled by the Castle front desk. 24-hour security and maintenance will help you if needed. Castle charges a resort fee of $49/day for 1 -6 nights or $277 flat fee for 7+ nights at checkout with no other cleaning fees unless ordered. 7+ night stays include one complimentary TTB Service (Towels Trash Bathroom touch up).
