Beso del Sol is located in Santa Marianita on Playa Bonita, a fishing village just 15 kms southwest of the city of Manta. There are numerous small shops (tiendas), a pharmacy, and restaurants within walking distance of Beso del Sol. Santa Marianita is very safe and you will find the locals and ex-pats that live here very friendly and helpful! The neighbourhood is very quiet and safe. Beach gets a bit busier on the weekends - which provides some action and great people-watching! (You'll usually see a couple or two dancing on the beach!)
You can walk to get just about whatever you might need but if you have a car, parking is available right in front of the property. The area is very safe and there are also cameras around the outdoor property for extra security.
Car rentals are available in Manta, or skip the car and take a taxi to/from Beso del Sol at very reasonable rates (taxi fares between Santa Marianita and Manta are $10-15 USD). There is also a truck that locals use for transportation that will pick up passengers for $1. Or try out one of the tuk-tuks!
How to Get Here - Eloy Alfaro International Airport in Manta is 30 minutes away, with national and international connections. There is also an international airport in Guayaquil - Aeropuerto Internacional José Joaquín De Olmedo is a 3 hour and 15 minute drive away (about a $100 USD taxi ride).
