Eagles Retreat is a nature lover's paradise! This private cottage in the woods is a perfect place to get away & unplug from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This lovely lake house has everything you need and more to enjoy Lake Gaston! Although, secluded & private, the house is just minutes West of Highway I-85, making it a perfect location!
The main living area features an open concept floor plan where everyone can gather for meals & board games. The bedrooms & bathrooms are spread throughout all 3 floors, allowing plenty of space and privacy for multiple or large groups. The basement is a perfect hangout area!Cozy cottage decor and features extend through the entire house making you feel like you are in a "home away from home."
After you have settled in and become familiarized with the inside of the house, take a walk outside. It only gets better!! The upstairs deck will take your breath away with the beautifull views of Lake Gaston.Enjoy birdwatching with a cup of coffee or glass of wine on the large screened-in porch or one of several deck landings. It's the perfect spot for an outdoor dinner with the whole family. Several eagles have been spotted flying to and from their nests, hence the name, "Eagles Retreat!"
Take a dip in the water just off the boathouse (over 12 ft), providing hours of entertainment for everyone! A mini-fridge is provided at the dock with a small tiki bar for entertaining. Feel free to tie your boat up to our dock during your stay. Fishing is GREAT off the dock and in the surrounding area--catfish, walleye, bass, crappie/croppie--to name a few.
A private outdoor shower is provided with hot & cold water for rinsing off or cleaning up after a busy day on the lake.Wind down and relax around the firepit overlooking the water--AND don't forget the S'Mores!
