Positive: Super sweet and thoughtful hostess who really goes the extra mile to make your stay in Ella special! She gave us tips on what to do, brought our shoes inside when it rained, adjusted breakfast when she saw someone didn’t like papaya and even surprised us with a drink when we stayed in for the afternoon. She arranged transport, knew the right departure times, and her mushroom omelette (and cooking class!) are highly recommended. The location is perfect if you like peace and nature: walking distance to Ella Rock. It’s a 25-minute walk into town (mostly uphill on the way), but tuk-tuks make it easy. It can be a little tricky to find: if you get dropped off at Happy Sky, just walk up the path with the car tires on the left. Highlights for us: Ella Rock at sunrise and dining at Sleek Spoon. All in all: a fantastic stay with great value for money.

Negative: A/C during the day would have been nice, but at night it wasn’t needed. The bathroom has no door, so make sure you’re comfortable with your travel buddy. We didn’t notice any road noise at all, unlike some reviews mention.
