Positive: This is an excellent place, right on Uppuveli beach (also a really clean, safe beach with agreeable water and gentle waves to swim in), that has a humble charm, unlike a large hotel. The bathrooms are basic, but you are right on the beach, so you feel the sea breeze and sand between your fit the moment you walk out the door, with your own verandah and chairs to sit on outside the room with ocean view. Easy walking distance from the cafes and restaurants on the inside roads leading in. And a great spot to watch the sunrise if you are willing to get up early and walk outside your room!
