Spindrift Weligama is a modern backpacker hostel located in the heart of Weligama and just a few seconds walk to the surfers paradise of beautiful Weligama beach. Designed by backpackers for backpackers we have created a place with all the essentials a backpacker could need! We are all about comfort and atmosphere and offer a modern, clean and comfortable place to hang out and meet new friends from all over the world.
Spindrift Weligama offers backpackers the choice of spacious private or sleek dorm rooms. The multiple chill out areas, balconies and outdoor spaces make it the perfect place to chill and share amazing travel experiences!

The hostel offers en-suite bathrooms in every room, wifi, lockers, power point per bed, reading lights, free water re-fills and a communal kitchen to help make you feel at home.
We aim to be as sustainable as possible and recognise our impact on the environment in Sri Lanka! To do this please be aware that we implement the following sustainability concepts throughout the hostel;
- Separating and recycling off all rubbish
- We do not sell any plastic bottles but you can re-fill your water for free
- We operate a no air-conditioning policy between the hours of 12pm and 5pm to conserve energy
Free Cancellation rates
Your booking can be cancelled for free, if you cancel your booking 48 hours before arrival your deposit will be refunded to your payment card. If you cancel within 48 hours, your deposit will not be refunded and the the total of two night's accommodation will be charged.
Deposit Only rates
This property has a 2 day cancellation policy.
Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to two nights of your stay, unless otherwise stated.

4. Air Conditioning on hours: 5pm - 12 midday

6. Age Restriction: 18+.
7. Taxes included.
8. No pets.
9. Curfew: Guests should be quiet after 23.00.
10. Smoking only in designated areas.
