Charming artists cottage on magical Islesboro.
Relax in a hammock, spend all day on our beautiful rocky beaches or sit back and enjoy the beauty of the property. Plenty of space for lawn games. Take a refreshing dip in the ocean and then get warmed up in the welcoming cedar sauna.
In close proximity to several beaches, preserves and walking trails.
Local mussels and lobsters available on the island.
Check the ferry for details on how to arrive on the island. The last ferry is 4:30/5pm
The space
Inviting and eclectic artists cottage filled with unique treasures. Two bedrooms with queen size latex mattresses. Small bedroom with twin bed.
Funky but comfortable is the name of the game here.
Please note that two of the bedrooms and the only bathroom are on the second floor. Stairs are a bit steep but nothing too extreme.
This is my home and I do ask that you be respectful of the space.
In addition to the house there is a garage on the property. I do come by often to access tools and such for my gardening business but I will not bother you. I will also stop by to tend the garden periodically.
Another note is that cats do live in this house. They are very sweet but very shy and there’s a good chance you may not see them. I do ask that guests keep their bowls full of food.
My house is located close to beaches but is not on the water.

Other things to note
The ferry is quite busy in the summer and reservations are not needed but are a good idea, especially if arriving on an afternoon boat. $20 for a reservation plus your ferry fare.
Be aware that you are coming to an island without restaurants and only two small stores. Stock up on necessities before you come. There is an island market (closed on Sunday) and a general store on the north end of the island (Sunday 10-2).Support of our local stores is appreciated.
There is a cafe at the Islesboro Community Center and The Dark Harbor Shop has ice cream, sandwiches and gifts. At the ferry you will find The Sandcastle Grill.
There are many different walking trails sponsored by the Islesboro Island Trust.
Take sailing lessons at Big Tree Boating.(season ends August 18) Bring your kayak or canoe and paddle around the island.
You'll be staying in someone's home, so please treat it with care and respect.

You are welcome to use the sauna but please don’t leave it in for long periods as it is quite expensive to run. It only takes about 15 min to heat up. Please respect the space as it is my personal home that I love very much. And most importantly, enjoy your stay!!
