Summary: This is a gorgeous property and very clean. But when we arrive at 3pm, there's was no front desk and no one to help us find which room we were in . Even though they said they were open till 5pm. We had to ask somewhere else staying there what to do. There are very steep stairs with no elevator so if you cant lift luggage very well, I recommend asking for the bottom floor. There were absolutely no amenities in the room other than an ice bucket and bottle of water. There is a store next door for breakfast (great food) and coffee but who wants to get dressed, go outside to get coffee, or to the other building for coffee or tea.. No microwave, coffee pot, fridge or extra blankets in the room. Also the fireplaces in the rooms are non working. 😔 Rooms are big and beds are comfortable. The Tavern they offer is only open Wed-Sat. Its a beautiful place but I don't think its set up for hotel style guests! Also there is only 1 central ac/heat unit that controls the whole house. No individual room thermostats. We never met who was in charge of the place. We finally called and they gave us our room number and code to get in. Very curtious on the phone. Not close to town but not a bad drive. We were put on the 2nd floor with no one to help with luggage and about pulled my back out trying to carry it up. We would not stay here again due to many things especially no one on sight to help direct us or help with luggage..
