Positive: We ended up staying at Maya as the hotel we had booked into had an issue with their water. What a sliding doors moment that proved to be !! We arrived at the hotel and immediately knew we had made the right decision. We had arrived in a heavenly place away from the throngs of tourists but not too far from other sites with exemplary service and truly outstanding food . The beautiful pool overlooked lush green paddy fields abundant with wildlife and we were utterly spoilt from the moment we awoke until lights out…. I am usually a little dubious when I see a 10 review and the photos possibly do not do the property justice…. Our one night stay has turned into three and although there is a huge world out there to explore we are already planing our return. All the staff are superb carefully supervised by the excellent Prasath
