Peaks Hill Retreat is a very special place. This is a quintessential Maine retreat situated on 10 wooded acres. Enjoy your morning coffee on one of the screened in porches surrounded by beautiful trees and so many types of birds, deer, chipmunks etc.
At night experience true darkness and stars so bright that it will feel like a dream. Close to beautiful Skowhegan (home of the Maine state fair) with lots of antique shops and a favorite bakery....The Bankery (set in an old bank). Just a mile from a gorgeous, pick-your-own farm, Sites Farm with blueberries and strawberries as well as an apple orchid nearby. Lots of lakes and ponds close by for fishing. Within a half hour to an hour, there are 3 waterfalls and a few lavender farms, coffee roasters and brewers on a lake and my favorite Bigelow Brewery with its wood oven pizza all about a half hour or so away.
The scent of the trees and Peace and Tranquility at its finest here!
Belfast, Bar Harbor and Castine coastal towns an hour or so away as is the gorgeous Rangley Lake region.
