Positive: Gorgeous hotel, if we were staying in high season I'm sure it would be great. Upon arrival, we asked if we could get some lunch, we were told no chef which wasn't a problem, the owner made us sandwiches. There didn't seem to be a chef the whole time with the owner making us breakfast each day. Rooms are spacious & comfortable, and everything is clean also. Pool is lovely looking over fields. Location is slightly out the way of Galle about 20 minutes but ubers aren't too much of a problem - just don't get tuk tuks on the side of the road to bring you back as they will charge a lot.

Negative: Bathroom light broke on the second night of our stay which couldn't be fixed until we left.. Found to be the only guests, so there seemed to be construction going on which made the electricity & wifi temperamental.
