Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: I want to love this place. But I can only give it a 7. The pictures are great, the reality fell short. This is a 5 bedroom place with shared kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped, The location is wonderful. Having to arrange for drinking water was unexpected. If it wasn’t for Santos ( he is your go to guy on Floreana!) we would have been in trouble. Apparently the families there prior to our stay used all the water, there were probably 8 empty 5 gallon containers. So when we ran out on the first day it was awkward to say the least. Two families left the day we came. Rooms were still not tended to when we left a week later. It was weird walking past rooms that needed cleaning. The pictures reeled me in. We will absolutely go back to Floreana! This was our fourth trip to Galapagos, and Floreana is a whole new ball game. Next time we will probably stay at Black Beach House or Whittmer place, which are located on either side of Villa Floreana. Swimming/snorkeling from beach was amazing. Relaxing week. Try to get up to Claudio’s farm. Pictures below.

Summary: Lovely remote island , go for a basic place. Magical.
