Summary: I had a wonderful time in Ayampe and during my stay at Emiliano's studio. Emiliano is a wonderful host and super communicative, and he answered all of my questions I had about arriving, board rentals, etc. I worked remote while there for the week, and the dedicated workspace setup and wifi reliability/speed was perfect during my stay there. It doesn't have A/C and the weather was quite hot/humid when I was there, so that made the late afternoons pretty sticky, but I got used to it, and the ceiling fan helped a lot. The space was super clean, secure and in a convenient location to everything in Ayampe. There's a solid number of good restaurants and coffee shops all within 1-5min walk. The beach is ~3 minutes walk down the main road. The surf wasn't great when I was there, as Ayampe is a beach break and the current was ripping so a car rental to explore other spots would have been ideal -- you could also take the bus if you wanted with your board, it would just involve more time commitment. All in all it was a great stay!
