YoYo Surf' is Ahangama is probably the most social place in Ahangama runs by a local family. We offer a choice of comfortable dorm-rooms with air-conditioning, or with a fan for the more budget-mindedtraveler. Each bed is dressed with high quality, comfortable bedding and provided with a secure locker, universal charge point and reading lamp.
There is a communal living area with cold beers and and some great cocktails serviced throughout the day. Also with pool table available in this area for socializing and beanbags and sofas provide comfy space for digital nomads to work on your laptops. There is a large outdoor space for lazing around on the sunbed and hammocks. As we are slightly set back from the main road the area is peaceful and free from the noise of traffic So you can chill/work/relax after your surf in peace. We also regularly spot monkeys, mongoose and lizards in
our yard.
We are nestled right in the middle of the best surfing spots on the South Coast -Weligama's easy beach-break is 6km away and perfect for those lovely longboard days Or if your a newbie it stop 5 in the world to learn how to surf YoYo can help you organize lessons or surf packages, just speak to our lovely staff! For the experienced surfer, Midigama Right (Sion) is directlyacross from the hostel while Lazy Left, Lazy Right and the famous Ram's are all conveniently located down the road, perfect if you want to dawn patrol and get out there first!Coconuts and Plantations, famous breaks for those
looking to graduate from the sand, are also close by.
Mirissa, Weligama, Midigama, Ahangama, Unawatuna, Galle, and the whole South Coast is within a very easy reach, as there are nearby bus stops going in both directions... If you're hiring a scooter, we have plenty of space for secure, safe parking.
If you're more about partying than surfing, then you are also in the right place! The famous 'Doctors House' is not far and holds huge weekly parties but if you know where to go there is a party every night of the week.
Breakfasts are available upon request in our restaurant and bar and we also organize weekly communal dinners for everyone to get involved and get to know one another. There is also a BBQ for those who love to cook outside
and this can be utilized by everyone. Otherwise, The great local restaurants like 'Mr.Sunils Rot', 'Machan Curry Pot' is arround the cornerâ€" our staff can point you in the right direction to find the best for you.
