Summary: This was the best home stay we have ever experienced! Danesh and his family were so welcoming and helpful and it was lovely to get to know them over our 5 day stay. Danesh organised various activities for us including seeing wild elephants, a cooking class, and a bike ride. He also helped with booking tuk tuks and taxis whenever we needed. Our room was clean with air conditioning and hot water. The breakfasts were abundant and delicious. The communal area was beautiful and full of nature. Danesh was a genuine and truly inspiring person to meet, he cares so much about his community and advocates for protection of wildlife and sustainable tourism. He and his family are the loveliest people, we couldn’t recommend Otunna guest house more.

Summary: Not usually a review scribe but sometimes you just feel compelled to. 5 stars does not do justice to Dinesh and family. Immaculately clean, helpful to a fault, nothing is too difficult to organize on your behalf and OMG the breakfast is more fit for a king than us minions. Look no further if you want a hassle free stay with some (no exaggeration) of the nicest people on this world of ours.

Summary: We loved our stay at The Otunna guest house. We were looked after in every way, nothing was too much trouble. Any activity we wanted to do or transport we needed could be arranged easily by staff. Breakfast was amazing!! Highly recommend a stay here while in Sigiria.

Summary: You will be staying in a room that when you step outside you'll feel like you are in the middle of the jungle!
The room we stayed in felt very new and clean, the AC worked great and host helped you with any questions you might have.
He got us a driver for a elephant safari and both the safari and the driver were excellent.
The breakfast is delicious 😋

Summary: We had a very pleasant three night stay at the Otunna Guest House! Dinesh was the greatest host ever, taking care of us, helping us plan the to-do's around the area and arranging transportations and all. His mother cooked us wonderful meals for breakfast and dinner, and his father taking care of the surroundings. Thank you! Highly recommend this place when staying in Sigiriya area.

Summary: This is a very nice place close to Sigiriya rock. The owner, Dinesh, went out of his way to make sure everything was great. We had dinner there which was a delicious assortment of home made curry. The breakfast was also fresh and delicious. We stayed in the room with A/C which was nice after coming back hot from a long climb. The room was perfectly clean and comfortable.
